About NANA
Rebuilding communities through entrepreneurship
NANA works alongside neighborhood businesses to rebuild low-income communities through job creation, business advisory services and economic development.

Our mission
Neighbors And Neighbors Association, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs and driving economic growth in Miami-Dade County. We provide comprehensive support, resources and guidance to early-stage ventures and small businesses — nurturing innovation, fostering sustainable growth and strengthening the economic vitality of the neighborhoods we serve.
Our story
NANA was founded in 1997 by Leroy Jones, who has devoted his career to giving technical assistance to the small business community throughout Miami-Dade. Over the years, he helped create Miami-Dade County's Mom & Pop Small Business Program and the City of Miami program now known as the Micro Enterprise Business Assistance Grant Program. He managed the County Mayor's Employ Miami-Dade initiative.
Through NANA, thousands of residents have received business workshops, help setting up a business and obtaining a local business tax license, grant-preparation training, and guidance on day-to-day operations. More recently, NANA launched the Liberty City Public Housing Small Business Pilot Project, helping public housing residents start businesses of their own.
